Our name, "Ang", comes from the Maasai word "enkang" meaning - “our home” - and we run the studio like one: a haven for creators and a root in African heritage ground everything we make.
Based in Nairobi, Kenya, and founded in 2007, Studio Ang develops original and commissioned work across design, live action, and animation. From concept to delivery, our team leads narrative development, visual design, and production for film, series, and digital platforms. We prize collaboration, rigorous story architecture, and distinctive imagery - work that travels across cultures without losing its roots. Our mission is simple: to break conventions, amplify African narratives, and create work that captivates and inspires.
